This has been a great month for me for training.

I’m looking forward to Olympic trials.

I’m also looking forward to memorial day weekend. I’m going home to spend time with my family and friends to relax and rejuvenate. It’s very important when you’re training hard to remember to take time for yourself so that you can relax not oonly in body, but also your mind. I also am very thankful that I have such a supportive family that is always there for me. It’s been an amazing journey since I started training for the Olympics and without their support I’d never have made it this far. So I’m very excited about going home and spending time with them.

It’s also important time for us all to reflect on how great our country is. Memorial Day weekend is about spending time with family and friends and also honoring the great men and women who have fought to keep our country free. Being an Olympian is such an honor because there is nothing greater than the feeling of representing my country on a world stage. This weekend should remind us all how great it is to be an American. I am looking forward to representing America in my third Olympics. Thank you for being a part of my Olympic journey 2012! We are in this together!
